Arrival - I'm Safe

We arrived at 02:30 on this November afternoon. Cold and icy were what we had expected. We received alot worse. We have just got off our P&O Polar Australia ship that had left Hobart, other scientists had chosen to take a plane, using the airlink from Tassie to here, but no, not I, I was stupid and had thought that to get a greater look and understanding of this 'magnificent' place, I would get closer and take a cruise liner. Stupid Emma, Idiot Emma. Yes, it was beautiful, but it was cold and the boat had been rocking around like a rocking horse on a jumping castle. I am here to research, I was and am excited for this adventure that work is taking me on. I made sure to pack, lots of books, WARM clothes and photos of friends and family. I will miss Australia and all of you, but I am writting this blog to help you understand what I do in a week.
